Wings Over Vermont Airshow was capped of by The USAF Thunderbirds.

Ten years and 1 day was well worth the wait to be on hand for Sundays Wings Over Vermont airshow in Burlington. Saturday was not kind to organizers or those who patiently waited hours for the low cloud cover to lift with no luck. All  Saturday flights were cancelled and the skies remained vacant. The show had a stellar line-up of F-16’s and F-18, a jet-powered glider, military helicopter demo, Patty Wagstaff, capped off by the USAF Thunderbirds.

Sundays kick-off by the E-Team Parachute Team included the Canadian and US flags being flown into the laps of the VIP’s seated along the Burlington waterfront.  VTANG F-16’s then took to the air for a military fly-by and Bob Carlton’s Jet Glider was equally impressive sailing across the Vermont skies.

What more can be said about aviation Hall of Famer Patty Wagstaff? She is the benchmark of aerobatic pilots, male or female. The grand finale was nothing short of spectacular. The USAF Thunderbirds were at their finest with the heart-stopping precision formation fly-bys, packed with thunderous after-burners that could be heard at the Canadian boarder.

Perrywinkle’s and Revision are to be commended for sponsoring the free show along the city’s shoreline. The event staff and volunteers made the entire experience most enjoyable for everyone in attendance. Thank-you Burlington for hosting such a first-class event, we will return again soon.
